Charlotte de Witte kicks off 2018 with robust ‘Brussels’ track

Rising Belgian artist Charlotte de Witte is preparing a new EP on the recently relaunched British imprint NovaMute — a subsidiary of the renowned Mute label. Having dropped off three incredibly well-received EPs in 2017, de Witte’s latest work has some tough acts to follow.

Subsequently, Brussels features three menacing techno cuts, each ridden with rousing versatility and expected enveloping production intricacies de Witte is known for. While the EP will not see out its full digital release until February 2, Witte’s released the title track to tide fans over.

“Brussels” is a steady, galvanizing track. Its slow-burn energy snakes tantalizing vocals under minimal beats and sweltering pads. Considering both de Witte’s expanse display of production exuberance over the last year and “Brussels” poise, the full EP will be a perfect techno jaunt to kick off the new year.
