Dirtybird Campout East Faces Problems On Opening Day

Trouble in paradise? It looks like Dirtybird Campout East might be having a few problems. Earlier today fans of the festival who arrived at the event venue were told turn around and wait for official word from the festival to return. The event is set to take place at Forever Florida in Saint Cloud, Florida from February 2nd through the 4th. 

Provided the event goes forward as planned, 2018 will be the inaugural year of Dirtybird Campout East. Event organizers announced that the gates to the event were closed until further notice around 12:30 PM today. At the time, fans were given no additional information and not told whether or not the festival would reopen. Event organizers subsequently followed up with a tweet around 2:30 pm that gates had opened, and have begun allowing campers to re-enter the venue. Although gates have reopened, there are no plans for music to continue on the first day of the event. Organizers have informed attendees that activities scheduled in the bunkhouse will continue as previously planned in place of this evening’s musical acts. 

Fans of the event have speculated on Facebook that though camping and activities may go forward, music will not because the festival’s permit has been pulled by the county:
