The superb production duo Product Of Us recently released the brilliant ‘Sleepless’ and their fresh pop-inspired sound is highly suitable for the summer ahead.
In this exclusive interview, they talked to us about themselves and their latest track.
Thanks for taking the time to speak to us! How long have you been making music for?
We have been making music for about 10 years.
How do you feel your sound and influences have changed along the way, and are they constantly evolving?
It’s not changing so much now, but we started as house producers. Product Of Us is us, evolved into a future and current pop sound.
What would you say your style is all about?
Our style is the sound of 2018 and about us as individuals. We have been through so many changes and we now feel we have a solid sound.
Which tunes are you particularly feeling right now?
We love Zedd & Sigala’s sounds, and we feel that’s a base of where we have established ourselves from.
What did you enjoy about making ‘Sleepless?’ How did you get to know ORKID?
We met ORKID through her manager Sissi and were introduced to her through Tania, another girl we work with a lot.
What have been the most fun parts of the year so far for you?
Out of it all it’s always the shows. We live to gig!
If you could give a producer just starting out one piece advice, what would it be?
Never overthink – simple is always more.
What do you most want to achieve this year, and why?
We are aiming to get a main deal with a major label, and release some stuff that will hopefully break the UK charts.
