Superstar EDM duo The Chainsmokers have added another stroke of brilliance to their ongoing Sick Boy project, enlisting Stockholm-born vocalist Winona Oak on “Hope.” Based on the relatable themes outlined in this project, The Chainsmokers continue a dark, emotion-driven phase while bridging multiple genre gaps in the process.

The track’s rhythm and light synth patterns create a tropical-house feel, adding a soothing background for its verses of combined vocal contributions from Oak and Drew Taggart. Harmonic vocals and drum hits also push this into the indie-pop category, further proving the duo’s versatility across genres. Fans are also gifted with an official lyric video, featuring all parties associated singing on a wooden floor.

The Chainsmokers are hot off a performance of “This Feeling” during a Monday Night Football halftime show and a Thanksgiving mix for BBC Radio 1.
