Bassnectar has relinquished a peek into his Reflective (Part 4) saga with a new single, “Illusion,” alongside the up-and-coming Peekaboo and featuring hip-hop and EDM crossover artist, Born I. The track sheds mists of old school Bassnectar, dating back to his Wildstyle EP days with gritty filtered sub-bass, cascading melodies, and hyped-up vocals only a madman twisting nobs could conjure. The bass music mastermind looks to continue his Reflective series, which he started in 2017.

Peekaboo made an appearance on the Reflective (Part 2) project alongside G Jones and Eprom, while Born I had a showing on the first iteration. Bassnectar shared the track list of the upcoming EP on Instagram, which includes collaborations with Hailo, Jantsen, RD, another one with Born I, a remix of Telefon Tel Aviv’s “Sound in a Dark Room,” and a Mothership Mix of “Leprechauns Arise” off his 2005 Mesmerizing the Ultra album.

Bassnectar also teased “Dive” featuring RD in a post on Instagram, further pushing the anticipation of his forthcoming project, which currently has no release date.
