Denney and D. Ramirez reconvene for ‘Raven’ EP with Crosstown RebelsDenney

Damian Lazarus‘s Crosstown Rebels is, if not the most, one of the most respected record labels in dance music—not just because of its extensive, unmatched catalog from artists spanning multiple decades and continents either. Crosstown Rebels has a reputation of breaking artists into new sonic spheres; that’s exactly the case with Denney on his latest EP, Raven.

A quick listen through Denney’s prior releases will communicate a willingness to explore the realm of house and techno, but this EP has taken him further than he’s ever gone before in regards to the latter. With seasoned progressive veteran, D. Ramirez sharing production credit, the pair produced a couple of tracks that are perfect for the upcoming colder months: when both the days and the music get darker.

The EP, two years in the making, marks the second time the pair have appeared together beneath the Crosstown Rebels namesake. The duo teamed up for two original tracks in 2017: the Stranger Things EP.
