The latest remix to join his rolodex is his take on Angels & Airwaves’ “The Adventure.” The remix has been released via Proximity, and it racked up more than 50,000 plays in its first 24 hours on the YouTube channel.
Illenium’s choice to remix this particular track is an interesting one given “The Adventure” is a punk rock release at its core. Illenium has been known to remix pop tracks, including hit remix for Halsey’s “Without Me” that has been a crowd favorite during his live performances. His take on “The Adventure” has minimal additions to the nine-year old track, but he layers subtle electronic chords and an additional guitar line to the backdrop of the release.
