Woodstock will be returning this summer to Watkins Glen, New York for its 50th anniversary, and with the announcement of the legendary music festival’s return has come heightened speculation surrounding which artists will be performing at Woodstock’s legendary return. Twitter account @TheFestiveOwl initially confirmed the festival’s return after speaking to the CEO of INVNT, one of the partner promoters of the event. Now the account has made some bold claims about potential talent lined up for the anniversary event.

The Twitter account has begun trickling out speculative information on who might be performing, naming artists like Miley Cyrus, Jay Z, The Black Keys, Halsey, The Killers, Chance The Rapper, Imagine Dragons, and Dead and Company. The Twitter account later deemed that headliner guarantees ranged between $1-3 million per act based on the estimated festival attendance of 125,000 per day.

Now, despite no official confirmation on the lineup yet, Variety is substantiating most of this information, as the final lineup is expected to land in full soon. In a statement issued on March 4, Woodstock co-founder Michael Lang said,

“There’s always been lots of rumors around Woodstock. We have excellent partners and an incredible talent lineup of over 80 artists which will be announced within the next couple of weeks. We’re preparing a once in a lifetime event.”

Information about the festival and tickets are available on Woodstock.com.
