EDM trendsetter Kaskade follows up the release of his Redux 003 EP with the ignition of a 12-stop stateside tour, bringing the intimate and sound-centric motifs of the REDUX series to fans nationwide.
While Kaskade is no stranger to main-staging some of the world’s biggest festivals, the big room powerhouse fell back in love with the underground in 2012. The Chicago-born DJ followed the urge to re-explore his clubbing roots, finding a way to meld his modern and nuanced productions with the soulful club experience of yesteryear. The result, known as REDUX, is at once nostalgic, yet cutting-edge. Familiar, yet refreshing.
Redux 003’s listing as an EP might make it seem like a quick bite, but with a meaty 18 tracks on the bone it’s more of a 5-course tasting. Kaskade has always played well with others, here recording collaborations with Felix Cartal, Gorgon City and Late Night Alumni, but such an unapologetically long tracklist gives the GRAMMY-nominated musician ample time to highlight the smooth and sultry productions that he’s known for.
Tickets for the tour go on sale August 20 at 9am PST, however, fans who register ahead of time at KaskadeMusic.com will receive speccial access an hour prior.
