Barcelona’s Primavera Sound has pulled out of their London festival endeavor for 2020, which was scheduled to take place in September in between its Portugal and California dates. Sources close to the festival disclosed to IQ Mag that the organizers’ permit request for their targeted venue in the locale of Enfield hadn’t gone through successfully. That being said, Primavera hasn’t given up on their UK aspirations entirely; the event will likely take place in 2021, giving organizers more time to fully secure a venue and align their logistics.
“They [organizers] want it to be as perfect as possible. They could organize it for next year, but now the feeling is it’s better to wait until 2021,” explained the anonymous source.
After becoming a pillar of the Barcelona scene and entering other markets along the way, the highly successful Primavera Sound began teasing its newest round of 2020 expansions during its 2019 flagship edition. LA was revealed shortly afterward, set for a touch down over the weekend of September 19-20.
