Shadient joins NGHTMRE & SLANDER’s Gud Vibrations records with a menacing 4-track EP dubbed ‘Divide.’ The piece de resistance of the EP, “Cyclone” drops alongside the full EP, adding a thunderous punctuation to what was already an immaculately produced short play. Citing Boys Noize, Gesaffelstein, and Aphex Twin as his biggest influences, it comes as no surprise that Shadient produces with a hybrid style that blends all of the darkest genres of electronic music into one seamlessly considered pressing. At times funky, at other times industrial and ominous, the ‘Divide’ EP feels right at home on the Gud Vibrations imprint alongside some of the best bass-minded producers in the business.
