The first posthumous record of Mac Miller‘s since his death last September has come to fruition. Entitled “Time,” the track combines a single verse from the late Miller, alongside support from Anderson .Paak touring band, Kali Uchis and .Paak’s notorious brainchild, Free Nationals. The track narrates the messy, circuitous nature of romantic partnerships.

The plucky, idealistic collaboration is set to appear of the Free Nationals’ forthcoming album, due later this year. The release arrives with further emotional poignancy given the ensemble’s household performance at Miller’s tribute concert last year following his untimely, industry-trembling death.

Mac Miller (born Malcolm McCormick) died last year, 2018, on September 7.
