TNGHT strolls through an animated nightmare in new ‘Gimme Summn’ video [Watch]

After a seven year hiatus since their last EP, it seems TNGHT is enjoying being back in the spotlight. Just a week after their triumphant comeback EP II, the duo share their latest video for the new EP’s closing track. “Gimme Summn” is a disorienting trap heater, and the accompanying video is appropriately disconcerting. It opens with infantile Hudson Mohawke and Lunice animations exploring an expansive environment, but quickly devolves into a nightmarish affair until their eventual aging and demise

For a group as pioneering as TNGHT, it’s only right to call on an equally forward-thinking director for the visuals. The video’s distinctive look comes courtesy of animator Cole Kush, who is also responsible for Mac DeMarco’s similarly styled “Here Comes the Cowboy” video. Watch below.
