On the one year anniversary of the anonymous producer’s debut, Caster has returned to unveil his ghoulish launch on Seven LionsOphelia Records. In accordance with the Halloween season release date, the enigma’s latest EP Black Sands showcases four new horror-driven cuts, amalgamating a variety of cross-genre influences with sinister spirits.

With influences from Seven Lions tracks “Summer of Occult” and “Isis,” the EP breaches the intersection of experimental and electronic as its sonics descend into the darkest realms. Molding multifarious dubstep forms, with warping sound design accessorizing exotic melodies in “Khnum” and slaughtering bass littering “Ishtar,” Caster weaves Arabian-inspired themes across heavy-hitting foundations. Integrating psy trance, mid-tempo and melodic bass elements into his productions, the mysterious newcomer delivers cinematic storytelling in his construction of supernatural soundscapes.
