One of dance music’s most visceral and aurally ambidextrous Aussie outfits, RÜFÜS DU SOL are offering fans a visual appendage to their recent desert-dwelling display at California’s picturesque Joshua Tree. Premiering in Los Angeles February 18, the film documents the band’s sonic takeover of the voraciously traveled-to destination. They’ve now shared an official preview to the film.

Given the group’s proclivity for flapping their dextrous, creative wings, the film seems an intuitive, symbiotic next step. Having mastered the arts of DJ-ing, live instrumentation, and production—as well as melding these crafts together onstage for live audiences—fans would be apt to expect an evocative visual outcome from the venture.

What’s more is the band’s keyboardist, Jon George, recently tipped off Variety about the band’s live album currently stewing in their pipeline. The album, according to George, was recorded during a trip to Yucca Valley, conveniently neighboring, you guessed it, Joshua Tree. It seems the film won’t be the only deliverable to bear fruit from the fateful vista.
