Attendees will have to test negative for COVID-19 or be fully vaccinated upon entry
Concerts and festivals in the Netherlands will be a full go starting June 5, just in time for ADE (Amsterdam Dance Event) which is set to take place this year from Wednesday, October 13 to Sunday, October 17. The announcement came from the Netherlands Health Minister, Hugo de Jonge, who stated that the government “will press ahead with the easing of a large number of coronavirus restrictions on June 5.” When discussing the return of concerts and festivals, de Jonge stated that “concerts, festivals, and many events will also be allowed to welcome ticketed attendees if they use COVID-19 test results to regulate entrance.” De Jonge also confirmed that “more restrictions will be released on June 30 if the situation continues to improve.”
Tickets for test-accessible events will require attendees to make an appointment for a test prior to the event. After attendees schedule their COVID-19 test, they must create an admission ticket with the ‘CoronaMelder‘ app where event organizers will be able to admit fans based on results shown on the app. Organizers “will also be allowed to use COVID-19 access tests in order to admit more attendees.” In most cases, those who are already fully vaccinated can skip the testing requirement and instead show proof of vaccination upon entry.
