Mercer fashions bonus remix of Tchami’s ‘Buenos Aires’@Rieks Mercer 222

Seven years after Tchami put his spin on Mercer‘s “Turn It Up,” the latter is back to return the favor with a rework of “Buenos Aires” that adds to the robust collection of alternative takes from his Pardon My French counterpart’s debut LP, Dancing Astronaut‘s 2020 Album of the Year, Year Zero. The bonus take comes just one month after the release of the Confession label head’s Year Zero (Remixes).

Mercer’s elegant take on “Buenos Aires” encapsulates a mixture of old-school and modern elements, with the reconfiguration draining the tempo of the original to supplant it with a renewed flow of laid-back disco grooves, funk, and electro.
