Yesterday, the Tim Bergling Foundation hosted the first annual Avicii Arena “Together For A Better Day” Concert. This event, held at the newly minted Avicii Arena in Stockholm, Sweden, was a celebration of Avicii’s life and career.
A wide variety of performers and musical entities brought the music of Avicii, real name Tim Bergling, to life like never before. The Royal Stockholm Philharmonic provided backing music as various vocalists sang renditions of songs like “The Nights.” 15-year-old Ella Tiritiello, who was celebrated for her cover of “For A Better Day,” came out to perform the song live again alongside famed singer Zara Larsson.
The last few minutes of the performance honored Bergling in true rave fashion as fellow Swedish EDM act Galantis came out on the decks to play classics like “Levels.”
To mark the momentous occasion, the Tim Bergling Foundation announced they will build recording studios in some of Sweden’s less fortunate neighborhoods to give at-risk youth opportunities to create music.
