This past fall, Relentless Beats announced Above & Beyond would perform on February 27, 2018, at the Rawhide Event Center in Chandler, AZ. The announcement followed the release of their album Common Ground featuring ‘Always,’ with Zoë Johnston, out January 26th on Anjunabeats. Presented by T-Mobile, the tour kicked off December 29th at the Los Angeles Convention Center with the first full leg picking up at the end of January.
“ALWAYS” Delivers Emotion
Shedding the 4/4 beats and progressive rhythms, Above & Beyond teamed up with Zoë Johnston for the emotional ballad “Always,” released as a single for their album Common Ground. “Always” is a gorgeous ballad about the safety, comfort, and relief of knowing that somebody will be there for you, especially when you need them most. The song perfectly encapsulates Above & Beyond’s work with Zoë.
The collaboration brings incredible songwriting and delivery that hits you right in the heart. It’s hard to fight back tears of joy. The official video was filmed in Flaine and Samoëns in the French Alps and directed by Daniel Sharp. The footage adds stunning visuals complete with a grand piano performance atop a snow-capped mountain.
