Today, November 10, as the Orlando installation of Electric Daisy Carnival in Tinker Field entered into its second night, a fire brought festivities to a temporary halt. Bass music producer Kayzo had recently begun his set on the Kinetic Fields stage when a fire erupted on the top right corner of the structure, as seen in video footage captured by a writer for EDM Sauce below:
Orlando Sentinel reports that the fire was caused when pyrotechnic effects ignited a portion of the screen display, at which point the DJ cut his set short.
Wow guys there was a major fire on the maisntage during the beginning of my set at edc Orlando. Had to stop but the team here at edc and the fire deprartment were swift and are doing their best to get the stage up and running. I love you guys. Thankful everyone is safe

Orlando Fire Department spokesperson Ashley Papagni states that the fire was contained upon OFD’s arrival, the Sentinel reports. In a tweet, Insomniac head Pasquale Rotella reiterated this statement, encouraging fans that the show would resume once the conditions are confirmed to be fully safe to do so.
Heads up, EDC Florida Headliners. The small fire at kineticFIELD has been contained and we are working with the fire department to make sure everything is safe before the music resumes. Hang tight!

No evacuation has been ordered, and Papagni told the Sentinel that no injuries have been reported. Kayzo is set to play another set at the venue’s Corona Beach Stage later in the night, as well as an afterparty for the event.
We working hard to get this set back up on the maisntage. On the bright side I’m gonna play from 8:30 – 9:30 on the corona electric beach stage here and then an after party from 1:30-3:00 at gilt
