A Magical New Years
Decadence Arizona 2017, held at the Rawhide Event Center, was a fantastic festival to attend. This New Year’s party has yet again made the transition to the new year a magical experience.
Decadence Arizona
The venue where Decadence Arizona is held makes your jaw drop. A Ferris Wheel towers over the Ruby Courtyard stage, strobing to the music. Once you enter the gates to the City Beyond Tomorrow, a friendly security team cracks down on their job. There are specific sections to go through depending on your attire. Security separates males and females, and then further organizes people into totem only, bag only, and no-bag lines to keep things moving efficiently.
After you make it through tight security, large white letters that spell out ‘NYE’ are visible. Additionally, they are decorated with names and new years resolutions. The Diamond Atrium is a huge barn with water stations lined-up from the entrance to the stage. Smiling rangers man the stations, keeping ravers hydrated.
Merchandise and food vendors fill the left of the main stage, emitting a wondrous aroma of tacos and funnel cake to attendees. Across from food and libations stands the Sapphire Ballroom.
