Multi-platinum producer Djemba Djemba has been relatively quiet in the past few years. The American producer rose to fame in tandem with dance music’s ascent to mass popularity and has been producing for artists like Sia, Kehlani, and Madonna in recent years. He released a collaborative track with Hoodboi earlier this year, and returns once again to remix Kiesza‘s “Phantom of the Dance Floor.”
This remix expertly uses Kiesza’s recognizable vocals as a jumping-off point, creating an intimate soundscape that envelops them into a dreamy electronic scene. Not without some proper bass, of course, Djemba Djemba has layered melodies on “Phantom of the Dance Floor” to make it inviting and intriguing. The producer also worked with the star vocalist in 2015 on “Give It To The Moment.”
