Dua Lipa might just be the voice behind the new Bond theme.

UK synth-pop stars Years & Years followed the recent release of their sophomore album, Palo Santo, with a BBC Live 5 interview during which the band accidentally intimated that Dua Lipa would potentially lend her vocals to the latest theme track. “I thought they’d ask us to do the theme tune but I think Dua Lipa is doing it,” Years & Years’ Mikey Goldsworthy stated when asked to speculate who would follow in Sam Smith‘s footsteps to voice the latest theme. Smith won the 2016 Oscar for Best Original Song for his 2015 Bond theme, “Writing’s On The Wall.” Goldsworthy promptly asks if he wasn’t supposed to say that, then commented, “I don’t know, I feel bad now. I’ve ruined everything. Well, hopefully, and then we’ll do it.”

The “Scared To Be Lonely” vocalist previously stated that she would love to do the long running spy franchise’s titular track, though admitted she has not recorded anything for it, “…so far.” The next installment in the Bond series, rumored to be called Bond 25, will hit theaters on October 25, 2019.
