Hi I’m Ghost has teamed up with Figure on a creepily delightful “Fe Fi Fo Fum,” ahead of Figure’s full EP release on July 13. The EP will be titled Heartbeat of Hell, and it is signed to Never Say Die Records‘ Black Label. “Fe Fi Fo Fum” gives listeners a good idea what to expect from the producer’s full compilation.
A creepy building intro with whispering voices and a subtle build fall into an intense dubstep drop — akin to the stomps of the giant in Jack and the Beanstalk, which inspired the record’s title. The whispering continues with the signature chant “Fe Fi Fo Fum,” raising hairs as it trails along.
The collaboration showcases the artists’ abilities to create a multilayered track with the song’s themes blending into an eery and commanding whole. It is available as a free download on Never Say Die’s Soundcloud.
