Giorgio Moroder has announced The Celebration of the 80’s Tour, which will see him embark on his first-ever headlining tour dates across Europe. While the man deemed by many as the father of electronic music has had countless headlining shows, at the age of 78, this will be his first official tour.

Playing a total of 15 shows through Europe and the UK in April and May 2019, The Celebration of the 80’s Tour will do what its title insinuates and celebrate the career of an electronic music pioneer and now icon. Flanked by his band and vocalists, the tour will focus on his music of the past and the present that has shaped electronic music’s future. The tour will also pay tribute to his longtime muse and collaborator Donna Summer, who with the direction of Moroder created evergreen disco hits like 1977’s “I Feel Love.”

Tickets for the tour will go on sale at 9 a.m. on Friday, October 12. Learn more and get tickets here.
