Oscar de Jong, Mark Kneppers, and Wim Plug make up the dance trio, Kraak & Smaak. A blue lit sky with minimal fluff is the atmosphere created on their new single, “I’ll Be Loving You,” featuring Ivar off Boogie Angst. Downbeat tempos, cowbell, easygoing guitar melodies and drums encompass Ivar’s soulful voice and 70s synths. Everything about this track is cool, from Ivar’s cadence on the verses to his singing on the hook and even notes of psychedelic sounds. Don’t sleep on the ending either, because more lush, poolside energy kicks in around the 4:36 mark with a late piano solo.
This year, the production team from the Netherlands mixed a compilation album, Poolside Miami 2018, for Toolroom Productions. Featured artists on the projects were Justin Jay, Bob Sinclar, Moullinex, Chet Faker, Justin Faust, and more.
