Having worked as a songwriter for several years, ‘Silly Boys‘ is the first creation that gave me the opportunity to showcase my own production and creative freedom lyrically. Exploring thoughts about my self worth, ‘Silly Boys‘ started as an ode to a younger Luna about finding confidence and love within myself.
Having just released, ‘Silly Boys‘ features additional production from Matt Sofo as well as mastering and mixing from Australian engineer Naderi (Flume, What So Not and Alison Wonderland). Expect drifting, softly drawling tones as they move fluidly over a backdrop of gliding chords, hums of bass and subtle, grooving drums patterns.
With previous features on tracks from GANZ (‘Let’s Fly Away‘) and ‘Make You‘ by Gianni Marino, which was co-written by Alex Burnett (Alison Wonderland, Nicole Millar, DJ Snake, Flight Facilities, Motez), ‘Silly Boys‘ is a chance to fully absorb the stripped back essence of Luna May‘s unquestionable talent – 2018 is the start of something special.
