Three years ago, Nicolas Jaar released his 2015 LP, Pomegranates, as an unofficial rescoring of the 1969 Russian film The Color Of Pomegranates. Now, London-based label Mana, is releasing the album on vinyl release, for the first time ever today. Pomegrantes was recently been remastered by the Berlin institution D&M and also includes a new sleeve designed by David Rudnick, who worked on the recent Oneohtrix Point Never LP and is known for his impeccable neo-Gothic typeface.
Jaar released his last album Sirens under the moniker in 2016, followed by a deluxe edition of the record last year. His latest record, 2012 – 2017, was released under his A.A.L (Against All Logic) moniker earlier this year. Get a fresher on Pomegranates below.
