Radiohead’s Thom Yorke debuts new single via rag & bone

Lead vocalist of the seminal band Radiohead, Thom Yorke has returned to fashion label rag & bone to showcase his new experimental track, “Why Can’t We Get Along.” Yorke has long been creating music exclusively for rag & bone’s promotional work, dating back to 2015 with his still officially unreleased track “Villian.”

The offbeat tone and visual aesthetic of the video weaves the two modes into a singular, deeply exploratory body of work. The avant-garde portrayal of rag & bones upcoming line, with its dizzying camera maneuvers and bold choreography are exquisitely executed by brooding Baby Driver star, Ansel Egort and American Horror Story‘s former undead antagonist, Kate Mara.

“Why Can’t We Get Along” is a dizzying pleasure dispensed in ambient synth loops. The song’s glitching, enveloping beat keeps time with the video effects, creating a keen sense of discord, as “Why can’t we get along?” is repeated throughout the six minute duration.
