RL Grime keeps his finger on the pulse of the crowd, and with the NOVA producer behind the decks, that pulse never slows — it only spikes. If any month is one DJ’s by default, then October belongs solely to RL Grime. The trap aficionado extended his celebrated Halloween mix series into its seventh consecutive year, dropping off “Halloween VII” on October 26. Hardly one to stymie momentum, RL Grime later headlined Miami’s Wynwood Fear Factory festival, where he provided a frightful finale to the two-day event.

RL Grime not only treated listeners to several new IDs in his most recent hip-hop/electronic hybrid in the Halloween series, but additionally interwove unreleased material among other chilling cuts during his live performance. RL Grime is notorious for using both the Halloween mix series and his yearly Halloweekend billings as platforms to tease previously unheard music, meaning that the unfamiliar selections that jointly made their debut on “Halloween VII” and at Grime’s Wynwood set could be indicators of ensuing RL Grime activity to come in the electronic release circuit.

RL Grime fans who simply can’t get enough of the producer’s blood-curdling bass can revisit each of RL Grime’s individual Halloween mixes, here.
