British electronic duo Simian Mobile Disco has canceled their forthcoming US tour in light of Jas Shaw’s amyloidosis diagnosis.

“AL amyloidosis is a rare disease caused by abnormal deposition and accumulation of proteins in the tissues of the body,” Simian Mobile Disco’s official statement reads. According to posts on both Facebook and Shaw’s personal Twitter , the artist’s already started chemotherapy treatment.

The news of the tour cancellations comes on the heels of the duo’s fifth LP announcement, Murmurations, which will still be released May 11 via Wichita records.

The group’s Murmurations Barbican Centre show on April 4 in London will proceed as planned and they’ll re-evaluate their touring stance once Shaw completes his treatment. Profits from the London show will be donated to the UCL Amyloidosis research fund.
