Sumthin Sumthin – Confused ft JAWNZA

Sumthin sumthin released his new experimental, industrial trap single, “Confused,” featuring JAWNZA off UZ‘s Quality Goods label. With a cinematic, oscillating build at the beginning, the song takes an angry turn towards gritty bass, slicing synths, and popping percussion. JAWNZA’s voice adds an accompanying harmony to the headbanging vibe.

This new style of trap is becoming increasingly popular in the bass realm. Sumthin sumthin’s dynamic sound design and flowing arrangements is a forward-thinking fit for the rapper out of L.A. In the melting pot of EDM, it only makes sense that hip-hop and industrial bass trap meet up somewhere in the middle.

Sumthin sumthin is currently on tour in Canada, heading “down under” to New Zealand and Australia next. On Twitter, he recently mention that he’s tired of everything sounding the same and wants to start making real music that’s emotional and genuine. Watch out for continued sonic and arrangement experimentation from a sound design virtuoso.
