Tickets for next year’s Glastonbury Festival sold out in 34 minutes to a striking number of interested fans. There were 2.4 million people registered as eligible ticket holders, setting a record for the UK festival.
The 2020 festival’s sell-out time was rivaled by the 2014 edition, which sold out just a couple of minutes faster. The festival confirmed that 155,000 tickets have been sold, with coach packages all spoken for within 30 minutes of release as well.
There is no official lineup currently, but speculations about slated artists include Taylor Swift, Paul McCartney, and Fleetwood Mac. The festival and artists haven’t confirmed or denied the claims.
Glastonbury promises “a ballot for the sale of 50 pairs of tickets in the coming days,” and come April all the unpaid for and unwanted coach packages will go for resale. There’s still hope for a ticket, so keep a sharp eye out for opportunities.
