Mura Masa drops two reggae-inspired remixes of Koffee’s ‘Toast’ and ‘Throne’Mura Masa

Mura Masa takes on Jamaica’s multifaceted Koffee for two official remixes. Koffee, a reggae artist from Spanish Town, Jamaica who was recently enlisted for this dubby spin on Justin Bieber and Ed Sheeran‘s “I Don’t Care” gives Mura Masa the perfect groundwork to display tightly honed percussion arrangements once again. Mura Masa is coming hot off the heels of his recent single with K-Pop phenoms BTS, so it only makes sense to follow up with two remix efforts.

For his latest offering, the “Love$ick” producer reinvents Koffee’s “Toast” and “Throne.” On Mura Masa’s rework of “Toast,” he throws a hefty reggae bass line with tropical percussion into the arrangement, capped with some unique surprises. “Throne” has a bit more of an aggressive take that falls into glitchy, dancehall-leaning territory. Both highlight the talented producer’s simple, unique sounds that have made him one of the most sought-after production talents in the game.
