This producer recreated Travis Scott’s ‘Sicko Mode’ using only Nintendo soundsTravis Scott Live 2

In a creative pursuit of relevancy, Rhode Island-based producer, Overspace, dropped an adaptation to Travis Scott‘s massive 2018 hit “Sicko Mode” featuring Drake. The catch? The remake was made with sound entirely from Nintendo‘s Animal Crossing game, making fans of the community simulation video game series think their lovable musician K.K. Slider was behind the production. With eerily similar sounds to the original, the 8-bit Nintendo-made remix also creates comically robotic vocoder sounds for the voices of La Flame, Drake, and Swae Lee. Towards the end, the track’s “out like a light” section drops an octave for an all encompassing video game voice feel.

The trend was inspired by I am Jemboy III, who created a similar, Animal Crossing remake to Sheck Wes’ “Mo Bamba,” also posted below.
