Finding his flow with a brand new single release this week is Upgrade, a producer and DJ who has made both drum and bass and dubstep in the past. First landing on RAM Records a couple of years back, he is back for more with the excellent ‘Won’t Hold Back.’
Less intense than some of his previous releases, this tracks makes a great fit on the label. Staying strikingly melodic throughout, Upgrade switches cleanly between jazzy piano, dynamic bassline strikes and a wicked topline. He says: “This project has been close to my heart for a long time – I’m re-inventing myself and trying to do something different from the rest. It’s a big switch from me and I’m hoping people will feel something from it.”
