DJ Shadow and De La Soul recently performed their first collaboration, “Rocket Fuel,” on Jimmy Kimmel Live! They were joined on stage by Babu from Dilated Peoples and DJ Melo D from Beat Junkies alongside a five-piece horn section.
The track is featured on DJ Shadow’s new 23-track album, Our Pathetic Age, that features the classic A and B side for a two-part long play. The first 11 tracks are instrumentals, while the B side runs with heavy-hitting features such as Nas, Run the Jewels, Pusha T, Ghostface Killah and more. “Rocket Fuel” featuring De La Soul, “Kings & Queens” featuring Run The Jewels, and “Rosie” were released as singles before the album drop.
Last year, the live performer released a live album and documentary of his tour supporting 2016’s The Mountain Has Fallen.
