Glass Cannon is back! Texas based duo Glass Cannon dropped their long awaited new album, First Swirlings EP, out now on all digital platforms! The 3-track EP also features vocals from singer & songwriter Torrie Laine.
“First Swirlings EP is a three-song journey of self-discovery.” says Kasey, the 1/2 of Glass Cannon. “Unfortunate situations brought the Glass Cannon to the Way Down Up, a strange and magical place. It’s here that The Mysteries are discovered. Who Are You ends the adventure with a cosmic conversation, presenting the question to the universe, and being answered with another question, Who Am I? ”
Elias Salaz III, and drummer/producer Kasey Chesnutt began working together in early 2015. From the sands of West Texas, the ‘cannon’ project began its initial testing. With blues and metal backgrounds, the two artists began to spill heavy riffs into a world of bass creations. From grey matter to grey sessions, the two managed to create a sound that oxygenates well with fusions of ethnic strings, psychedelic rock, and throbs of guttural bass.
Ambitiously carving space for experimental bass music in West Texas, their music can‘t be confined to one single genre. The possibilities have been stretched and warped in both sound and design as they venture through wild bass-scapes.
