Subtronics has shared an 86-minute dubstep throwback set filled with fan-favorite genre classics hot off the heels of releasing his String Theory EP with Kompany and Wooli in October.

The throwback set which took place at the Lakeshore Drive-In in Chicago, featured all of Subtronics’ favorite tracks that he and many bass music fans grew up on before the genre’s commercial inception. Notable classics such as “Night” by Benga & Coki, “When I Look At You” by Emalkay, “Sierra Leone” by Mt. Eden and tons more were played out during the set as well as bass staples from the likes of Flux Pavilion, Borgore, BAR9, Funtcase, Skream, Skrillex, The Widdler, Caspa, and more.

Subtronics advises newer fans to keep an “open mind” as the mix may feel more downtempo compared to today’s tracks, as for those who have been around long enough, this rare set of older goodies should hit the spot just right. Have a listen below.
