Continuing a stretch of bombastic releases, Nitti Gritti has returned with his latest heavy-hitting collaboration. The new single follows the Miami native’s recent R&B-influenced EP, All In—one of three EPs delivered in 2020 including What A Time To Be Alive and Ro Sham Bo. Reuniting with Maliboux, the dynamic electronic producer pivots once again to the all-familiar dubstep landscape on “Rock N Roll.” The pair previously coalesced on “I Got It” from Nitti Gritti’s 2018 EP, Drive.
The track sets the stage with symphonic instrumentation, maneuvering uplifting orchestral layers, harmonious choirs, and glimmering arpeggiators to command a gradual build-up. Pitched vocal chops enter the fray as manic foreshadowers for the first of three blistering drops. Incorporating various styles into the succession, Nitti Gritti and Maliboux proceed to construct bass-house stylings and synapse-firing riddim sound design to the shape-shifting production.
