Rinzen‘s ability to create vast soundscapes through his production has always been his calling card. Throughout 2020, he has harnessed his talent to great effect on his studio releases and his ongoing Story of Rinzen mix series. With his third EP of the year, Rinzen continues to build his catalog of fully fleshed out deep melodic house.

The EP’s title track “Resonate” is centralized around a simple kick pattern and vocal melody, leaving plenty of room for an array of electric jolts and atmospheric elements to fill the track. It’s partnered by “Gotham,” a track built around similar fundamental elements as its predecessor, but with much more expansive synth work that replaces the more subtle elements. Rinzen’s latest is closed out by the Clarian remix of “Resonate,” which revises the original’s key and structure to take a more club-friendly approach to the vocals.

Resonate is Rinzen’s first work via Desert Hearts Black since his 2019 EP Torus with Marbs and Evan Casey, which launched the sub-label. Rinzen premiered songs from the EP on his recent Desert Hearts livestream performance with the likes of Sharam and Qrion.
