Shadows” has been the gift that keeps giving. After Seven Lions and Wooli struck the Ubbi Dubbi audience with the Ophelia Records union, the sought-after Amidy feature arrived in late April to satiate the trio’s respective audiences. Now, “Shadows” receives a breathtaking acoustic rendition as Amidy returns to Seven Lions’ imprint alongside David Kaylor for a much-needed live adaptation of the awaited melodic bass tie-up.

As with Chandler Leighton’s divine breakdown of “One More Day,” Amidy’s stripped-down take on “Shadows” gallantly reconceptualizes an already bonafide gem. Amidy helps educate those who were unaware that he holds a 360-degree ability on both the production and vocal fronts, bringing in a masterful piano backing from Kaylor as he dives deep into his high-toned lyrical pockets.
