Ultra Music Festival and downtown Miami residents have reached a historic agreement
Ultra Music Festival and the Miami Downtown Neighbors Alliance (the neighborhood alliance representing various residential communities in close proximity to Bayfront Park) have revealed that both parties have reached an agreement, ending the turmoil that has plagued both Ultra Music Festival and its surrounding neighborhoods in recent months. Under the agreement, Ultra Music Festival will continue to host its annual event with state-of-the-art production while also voluntarily implementing its first community standard program. The program will address several key festival issues including construction, noise, and traffic management. Ultra-spokesperson, Ray Martinez, had the following to say about the agreement,
“This development finally opens the door to establishing an ongoing working relationship between the parties, which was long overdue. Ultra’s leadership was privileged to work closely with local residents in striking the balance between accommodating local residential lifestyles and hosting large-scale and state-of-the art music productions in Miami’s urban core.”
James Torres, President of the Miami Downtown Neighbors Alliance, confirmed that he too was pleased to have reached an agreement with Ultra. Now, Ultra Music Festival will be able to be held once again at its iconic Bayfront Park venue, which is scheduled to take place next year from March 25-27.
