Loner, the new album from Alison Wonderland, will be out Friday, May 6. After months of anticipation, the Australian-born DJ, producer, singer, and multi-instrumentalist, has confirmed the release date for her third LP.
“For me, Loner felt like a rebirth,” says Wonderland, real name Alexandra Margo Sholler. “I owe it to whoever else is out there who was like me, wishing that they had an album like this to empower them to feel less alone and know that it’s all going to be okay one day.”
The news also comes along with the third single from the album entitled “New Day.” Where the previous singles from Loner were much darker and dismal, “New Day” brings an attitude of hope and positivity.
Rising major key arpeggios purport the uplifting feelings as the soundscapes support honest lyrics encouraging candid admissions. Such messaging fits perfectly alongside the video for the single which sees Sholler and an unnamed sidekick bringing beauty back to a desolate world while defeating their enemies.
