For the past nine weeks, Kaskade has been an emblem of consistency, dispensing—as promised—one Fire & Ice conversion a week. With each Fire & Ice recasting, the Redux producer and his audience inch closer to the revelation of Fire + Ice v3, a remake album crafted in celebration of 10 years of Fire & Ice. The rollout commenced with “Turn It Down v3,” and after bursting out of the v3 gate with the moodier counterpart, Kaskade let loose ensuing versions of “Lessons In Love,” “ICE,” “How Long,” “Let Me Go,” “Llove,” “Room for Happiness,” and, most recently, “Eyes.”

At this point in the Fire + Ice v3 updating process, not many Fire & Ice originals remain, and “Waste Love” featuring Quadron is no longer among them. In a PYFER-inviting twist on “Waste Love,” which previously took on a piano- and beat-centric personality on Kaskade’s “ICE Mix,” Kaskade adds texture to the Fire & Ice derivative, yielding a “v3” take well-suited for titillating club play out.
