Pieces landed itself amongst Dancing Astronaut‘s top electronic albums of 2021, and William Black is now giving a fan-favorite single from his sophomore album the VIP treatment. Ahead of the end-of-March kickoff for his LP’s coinciding 18-city run around the U.S. and Canada, Black has reunited with Fairlane—who will join the album tour—for a surprise reimagining of their “Butterflies” successor.

Broken” gets migrated over from melodic bass grounds right into the arena of drum ‘n’ bass, with Black doubling down on that genre undertaking following his Fallen Embers deluxe cut with ILLENIUM. The Pieces single still plays just as well in a completely different state as Black and Fairlane transfer over the deep-seated emotion of the original while giving it a rejuvenated, uptempo flair. Hold yourself over until the Pieces tour begins with the “Broken” VIP below.
