Brandon Markell Holmes and Rogue Vogue‘s Garden EP features the pair’s collaborative expertise, finding the two melding house, afro-pop, and R&B elements to create an entirely new style all their own. The experimental nature of the pair’s joint sound comes neatly encapsulated in the pair’s four-track Garden EP, which features the two singles, “Garden” and “Gimme Time,” as well as “I Am the Night” and “Someone Else.” Speaking on the second single, “Gimme Time,” Holmes explained,
“‘Gimme Time’ is about coming to grips with your internal thoughts/identity and subconsciousness, while simultaneously being in love with someone who you haven’t been fully able to open up to because you’re still figuring so much out about yourself.”
